Spain beat Saudi Arabia comfortably 5-0. Spain’s goals came from Cazorla, Pedro with two, Xavi and David Villa.
Brazil 1-0 South Africa (Friendly)
Brazil beat South Africa in a friendly match in Brazil. Brazil do not have to go through the qualifying stages as they automatically qualify as hosts. Hulk scored the only goal of the game.
World Cup Qualif. Argentina 3-1 Paraguay (South America)
Argentina have no problem in shrugging aside Paraguay. Di Maria, Higuain and Messi get on the score sheet for Argentina. Fabbro’s penalty drew Paraguay level at one point in the match.
World Cup Qualif. Peru 2-1 Venezuela (South America)
Peru come from behind to beat Venezuela by 2 goals to 1. The best start possible for Peru.
World Cup Qualif. Costa Rica 0-2 Mexico (South America)
Mexico with an important away win against Costa Rica. The Mexicans are on a high from winning the Olympic Gold medal and now start their Qualifying campaign off with a crucial win.
World Cup Qualif. Jamaica vs USA
Jamaica pull of a shock 2-1 victory against the USA. The stars and striped where meant to win this game comfortably but the Jamaican side shock them.
World Cup Qualif. Georgia 1-0 Belarus (Group I)
Georgia get and important win against Belarus in their bid to secure a place at the Brazil 2014 FIFA World Cup.
World Cup Qualif. Finland 0-1 France (Group I)
France with an important win away from home against Finland. Diaby with the only goal of the game for France.
